Today October 22 is celebrated the International Day of Stuttering, also known as the International Day of Stuttering Awareness, as a date of support for those people who suffer from this condition and who sometimes do not find the support to be able to function in their day a day.

Stuttering is the word with which we generally know the disfluency of speech. A communication disorder that is characterized by involuntary interruption of speech and is accompanied by fear, stress, as well as muscle tension in the face and neck.

This disorder becomes visible between the ages of two and four , although it can be confused with the difficulties children have to speak during this stage.

One of the biggest problems that stutterers face is questioning their intelligence, emotional ability and mockery , generating negative effects on a psychological level and leading them to isolate themselves socially.
