July 13 is the International Day of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) , the purpose of which is to raise awareness of the needs of those affected and their families, since if this disorder is not treated in a timely manner, it can produce damage to the personality of the affected person, such as low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, school failure and maladjustment.


  • Predominant inattention with no or little signs of impulsivity and hyperactivity.
  • Predominantly impulsive and hyperactive with little or no attention deficit.
  • Mixed type, these people are easily distracted and are also hyperactive and impulsive.


Ideally, the diagnosis should be made between 5 and 7 years of age and before establishing it, other conditions such as diabetes and hypoglycemia, visual or hearing disorders, iron deficiency, lead poisoning, learning problems that do not correspond to the ADHD spectrum or Emotional problems.
